Corporate Park Wants Common Grounds Kept Looking Presentable. I am the elected representative for the corporate park association and we are going to need a landscape management proposal for our corporate park. Many businesses in our park maintain their own grounds, but the park association of businesses does maintain the common areas along the streets and intersections; plus there is a small park area and pond — do you treat ponds for algae control? The common grounds have perennials, too, and there are some annual flower areas near the entrance signs — can you take care of these in your landscape management proposal? The Association doesn't want to spend and arm and a leg for service, but they do want to look presentable and weed free — after all, it reflects on their businesses when clients and the public drive through the park looking for them. So we need professional mowing — not fancy golf course stuff — just regular service, even mowing, good lines & good trimming. We don't want to spend on a lot of fertilizer — that just means a lot more mowings (and expense). But we do have to have some and we have to have decent weed control so weeds are sticking up in the grass, unsightly and giving the wrong message. Sometimes there are plant replacements in spring — you know, winter-kill happens here! And some of the trees have to be watched for problems — a lot of them are new yet and the ground the landscaper used was more like subsoil than topsoil! — So can you take care of these, too, if we need them? Maybe the shrubs and trees will need to be fertilized so they will get established and grow — OK? Oh, I shouldn't forget spring and fall cleanups either — there are always debris after the winter and leaves in the fall; and you should have your people check each week for papers and cans and the usual debris that blow up or people throw out from their cars — can you regularly pick those up so things look presentable?
