One contract example: Small-size business contract for cost-effective care of grounds. Their overall goal is to keep their grounds presentable — look nice but "not go overboard." Even though their grounds are small, nobody in their shop has time to take care of the landscape. Their contract with American Landscape calls for lawn mowing and trimming, fertilizer and weed control, and keeping the bushes trimmed and weed-free. Their contract also calls for spring and fall cleanups to remove winter debris and fall leaves.

A second contract example: Condominium association comprehensive contract for year-around services. A self-managed condominium association with multiple buildings on a multi-acre site selected American Landscape, because they prefer to contract year-around with the same contractor committed to plow snow and remove ice without damaging the lawn or bushes for the growing season. They needed someone who could handle tight condo type projects with tight parking lots and people parking their second cars in front of their garages {their previous contractor had trouble meeting the association's expectations because his equipment was too big). They contracted for American Landscape plows to come back & clean up the lots during the day— after the cars move for work. A big issue for them is ice control on the drives, roadways and parking lots. They want to prevent cars slipping around or people falling (some of the residents are older people here, and the association's insurance is high already). They contracted for clearing sidewalks of ice and snow and putting ice control on sidewalks. Their contract also ensures that ice control is done promptly whenever slippery conditions occur, that emergency-access fire plugs are kept cleared; and that the big mail box centers along the streets are kept clear in the winter. For the growing season the association contract calls for spring & fall cleanups; planting flowers in the spring, lawn mowing and trimming; fertilizing and weed-control in the lawn, weeding the shrub and flower beds for good appearance, and pruning the shrubs and small ornamental trees and evergreens to maintain size and appearance. At the start of the contract they specified diagnosis and treatment of trees that they said, "don't look right," and the includes taking care of insect damage and disease if it occurs. The condo association is still under expansion with new buildings being added, so the contracts adds a price for each additional building as it is built.
