Want the Proof of the "Snow Pudding?"
Remember The Blizzard of Feb 1 and 2, 2011??
Remember: 20+ inches snow, drifting to 15 feet+, 50 mph winds??
A few excerpts from our Blizzard of '11 reporting:
"THERE SEEMS LITTLE DOUBT NOW THAT THIS IS THE WORST BLIZZARD OF THE LAST 10 YEARS. THE EXTREME WINDS MAKE IT SO . . . SNOW FELL SIDEWAYS BEGINNING 5PM SOUTH AND 6PM NORTH LAST NIGHT. THE SNOW WAS MODERATE TO HEAVING INITIALLY AND WAS WORST AT MIDNIGHT AND THE VERY EARLY MORNING HOURS. AT TIMES VISIBILITY WAS ZERO - ALL ONE COULD SEE WAS A BLUR OF WHITE - NOTHING ELSE. MORE THAN A FOOT OF NOW HAS FALLEN WITH THE WORST OF IT NEAR THE AIRPORT . . . YOU KNOW ITS VERY BAD WHEN I-94 AND I-43 ARE CLOSED BETWEEN MILWAUKEE AND THE STATE LINE . . . SOME CITY STREETS ARE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN . . . SOME DRIFTS ARE AS HIGH AS 15 FEET . . . WE EVEN HAD TO PLOW CITY STREETS INCLUDING A MAJOR COUNTY HIGHWAY TO GET TO OUR NEXT JOB . . . "
The Result? We had a number of customer calls thanking us, and zero complaints!
That's why we are different. Here are more reasons.
There are only 3 SIMA Certified Snow Professionals in SE Wisconsin that have achieved this prestigious national designation through comprehensive testing and signing the pledge of ethics. American Snow Professionals employs all 3. Only 120 men and women throughout the country currently have earned this designation through SIMA, the leading organization for professional snow and ice management contractors.
Professional Leaders assure a staff equipped with the best in cutting-edge technologies, equipment, methods, structures, organization and training.
Extraordinary Reliability results - why not? Combined with the shortest crew and plow routes, the right equipment, and the most knowledgeable staff, and all materials on hand and pre-storm loaded, plus full-time communications access, things get done on time.
Comprehensive pre- and post-winter event e-mail reporting to customers, including timely updates, color radar images, detailed weather reports, and elucidation of our plan for upcoming winter events, with later post-event summaries. This is the most comprehensive winter reporting system in SE Wisconsin, bar none.
Area Managers, a revolutionary concept in the snow services business, are the supervisor/managers for small geographical clusters of customers and the personnel and equipment serving them. Each manager rotates through the cluster, maintaining communications throughout, and can assist as needed with his fully equipped plow truck and v-box ice-control spreader, and full communications with which to reassign or call in backups.
Area Managers are frequently on site supervising the work being performed. And these managers are heavily trained and experienced - years and years of experience and training.
Consistent staffing - the same sidewalk crews and plow operators perform each customers' work each storm (unless back-ups are required due to the storm severity, or sickness or equipment breakdown).
Nighttime snow watch is a nightly rotation of supervisors who check on customer sites every night that the temperature dips below 37 degrees to serve as protection for an unpredicted snow or ice event. Since most slips and falls do not occur on snow but on ice which forms as a result of refreezing of melted snow or fog or mist or light rain settling on freezing cold pavement surfaces when you the customer may be least likely to expect it. With us, an "Alert" call-out is given immediately, putting crews well ahead.
Guaranteed Full Season of Ice-Control Materials in Our Storage before the Snow Season Begins! Yes - 5,000+ tons roadway and lot ice-control on hand in our storage before the season. Yes - tons of sidewalk ice-control on hand in our storage before the season. This trumps erratic suppliers who refuse to sell to commercial contractors during a busy winter like those of 2007-08 and again 2008-09!
Knowing your site better because of the breadth of experience from which to discern the priority areas, detail a map of where snow is to be removed from and where it is to go, how much equipment it takes, the size of staffing it takes, under what circumstances we will need to supplement the staff and/or equipment. We know these things and have them on record and maps before the snow season begins.
No small equipment portfolio! With some 110 plow trucks/loaders/skid steers, 17 front-line salt trucks, 16 sidewalk crews and 11 area managers all well-equipped, we are more than capable of routing equipment to your location as necessary.
Necessary back-up equipment during the storm? Yes - to assure the ability to perform regardless of storm type or severity. Full-time, multi-staffed mechanical shop becomes 24/7 during storms.
Communication with us during the storm? Yes - even after regular business hours during a storm. During the storm your call will be answered by a live dispatcher, 24/7. Even direct access to Area Managers can be provided.
Sidewalk clearing? Yes - American has the personnel and tools to take on any project. We use equipment tailored to your specific needs, which may include 4x4 ATVs with poly-edged blades, 2-stage snowblowers, small 4-wheel drive "bobcats", and all necessary hand equipment and tools, including ice-control materials. All of these are delivered to site ready to run or use because of weather-protected enclosed vans or trailers. NOTE: sidewalk services are the hardest services to perform well, because of all the manpower required. But we do it well, year in and year out, guided by honed managers and crew supervisors - and training.
Fix the turf damage from plowing at the end of the season? Yes - without cost and without having to be requested: it is automatic. This is performed in early spring with highest quality lawn and garden soil, seed and Encap mulch or woven straw blanket as needed or requested. Any ancillary property damage is also repaired at our expense.
Five millions dollar insurance umbrella for your added protecton? Yes - and this is on top of the regular coverages.
Proven Value - The most real performance services per dollar - consistently!
