Root Feeding
American Landscape can provide root feeding service for your trees and shrubs.
If your trees and shrubs look healthy, do they still need root feeding? Most likely, yes.
You can get an indication if your trees and shrubs need fertilizer by checking leaf color. If leaves are light green or yellow-green, you'll need to fertilize. Fertilizer is probably also needed if trees and shurbs show short annual twig growth, excessive dead wood, or sparse foliage. (Source: UW-Extension)
Trees need fertilization in October and April. By fertilizing in the fall through root feeding, you ensure your trees have the proper nutrients to take them through the winter and help prevent disease. A tree continues growing and absorbing nutrients long after the leaves fall and well into December. They begin working again before the leaves appear on the trees.
A tree may be getting adequate nutrients from the soil, but it will still benefit from additional fertilizer to keep it growing at its best. Keeping your trees and shrubs well fertilized make them much less susceptible to contracting diseases, insect problems or other stresses from weather.
